St. Patrick’s Day in Riverside

Spread the love

I had a great time at the block party in Riverside on St. Patrick’s Day…

While treating myself to lunch at Okinawa off Roosevelt (in Jacksonville, FL), I received an incidental phone call from my best friend. We chatted for a bit once I called her back, and before we ended the call, she’d invited me to join her later that afternoon for a block party in Riverside.

Unbeknownst to me, I ended up visiting that same part of town after my lunch, and at around 2p, the small block on Margaret Street had already been sectioned off. NOW… I MUST add that though the weather was lovely around 1p when I first left for my lunch date, once I made it back to my home office by 3p, I was DONE FOR! I felt like I lived back in the old days when there was no AC and when it got hot, you put ice chips on your forehead and just sat and sweated your LIFE away HOPING you at least the privilege of a tall glass of lemonade. Needless to say, I did NOT want to go on the outing that was supposed to show up for just a couple hours later. Lo and behold, I shaped myself up and went anyway, and…

I’m Glad I Did!

I had a LOVELY time! It was good catching up with my bff! We discussed her goals and my goals and coaching and forward steps and more! It was very nice spending a leisurely afternoon in the presence of my long lost friend!

Here are a couple pics…
